Common Questions

What am I looking at? What's the difference?

Abstract Paintings

These are one-of-a-kind originals on stretchers. They are singular events, captured in pigment.

Pen Plots

This is a collaboration between me and a machine.

Code guides a plotter, which then draws with real art materials — markers, paint pens, fineliners.

The machine is precise to a point, but the materials are physical. Ink blobs, lines fade, things get beautifully imperfect. It's not a digital print; it's a unique artifact.

Hand Prints

These are pulled by me, by hand. Think linocuts, woodcuts, gelly prints or screenprints. Each print has its own character, texture, and inherent imperfections.

These processes are not always separate. I often use them as layers. You will find pen plots drawn directly onto hand-pulled prints, or plotter work layered onto a pre-painted canvas.

The goal is to explore the territory between the digital command and the physical mark. Each artwork's description will clearly state what combination of techniques you are looking at.

Is this art original?

Yes. Everything here is an original.

Because of the nature of the process, it is not possible to make two identical pieces.

Even when the same code or same stencil are used, the result is always unique.

I do not sell reproductions or digital copies.

Where do you ship?

Abstract paintings (on stretchers)

Due to their size and fragile nature, these only ship within Portugal.

The exception:
If you are willing to have the canvas re-stretched by a local framer, I can remove it from the stretchers and ship it rolled in a sturdy tube. Contact me before purchase if you need this option.

Pen plots & Hand prints

These can travel. I ship them internationally.

How much does shipping cost?

The rate depends entirely on the artwork's size, weight, and your final destination.

You will see the final, calculated shipping cost at checkout before you pay.

What is your return policy?

All sales are final.

If you are hesitant or have a specific question about a piece (color, texture, exact dimensions), please ask me before you buy by filling a contact form below this section.

I provide high-resolution photos, clear descriptions, and a "View in AR" feature on every piece. You can upload a photo of your room and "try it on" your wall.

I am happy to send more details or photos. But once it's yours, it's yours.

Can I commission a piece?

No. My work follows its own path.

If your question isn't on this list, it's probably a good one. Send it here.
